REMINE INC. PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: November 2019

This Privacy Policy applies to the information that Remine Inc. (“Remine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects or receives through our website at www.remine.com (the “Website”); from our interactions through telephone calls, correspondence, electronic communications, newsletters, interviews, surveys, and questionnaires; and through Remine’s service provided by way of our web-based application (the “Service” or “Services”). The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, share, and store the personal information of individuals who are users of our Service (“Authorized Users”) and visitors to our Website (“Visitors”) and outlines the choices Authorized Users and Visitors have regarding our use of their personal information.

If you are a Visitor, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and are bound by them by continuing to access the Website. If you are an Authorized User, this Privacy Policy is part of, and is governed by, the terms and conditions set forth in our Terms of Use Agreement for the Service located at www.remine.com/marketing/tos/index.html. As detailed further below, all provisions of the Privacy Policy that apply to Visitors also apply to Authorized Users, while some provisions apply only to Authorized Users.

  1. CONSENT TO PRIVACY POLICY

In this Privacy Policy, we describe the information we collect when a Visitor or Authorized User uses or accesses our Website or Services. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with or object to any of the terms of the Privacy Policy, you are not authorized to use the Website or the Services.

  2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information from Visitors and Authorized Users when they access or interact with the Website or Services. Depending on the type and extent of interaction a Visitor or Authorized User has with the Website or Services, some of that information may include personally identifiable information. The ways we collect this information fall into two general categories: information that individuals provide to us directly and information that we collect automatically through use of the Website or the Services.

    • Information Provided to Us Directly

      • Registration Information. When an individual activates an account to use the Services, we collect certain information. That includes the individual’s name, address, telephone number, email address, and password to access the Services. When the individual has accessed the Services using a unique username/password combination, that individual becomes an Authorized User.
      • Payment Information. We charge fees to Authorized Users to access certain features of the Services. We collect credit card information from Authorized Users seeking access to these features and provide that information to our third party service provider that processes online payments on our behalf. Our service provider processes payment information in line with its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We are not responsible for our service provider’s handling of payment information. Our payment service provider is currently Stripe, and we advise our Authorized Users to review its privacy and related policies available at its website, stripe.com.
      • Electronic Communications and Telephone Support. We may collect information that a Visitor or Authorized User chooses to share with us via electronic communications and telephone support, such as technical service or administrative requests, product inquiries, and the like. We use this information to understand and respond to questions and to improve our business processes and customer experience.
      • Surveys and Questionnaires. From time to time at our discretion, we may invite Visitors and Authorized Users to participate in surveys or questionnaires. Participating in these outreach efforts is voluntary, but if an individual chooses to respond we may ask for personal information such as name, email address, or ZIP code. We use this information for internal analytical purposes.
    • Information We Collect Automatically Through Use of the Website or Services

We automatically collect information from Visitors and Authorized Users to understand how they use the Website and Services and how we can improve them. The information we automatically collect includes the following:

      • In General. We record the IP addresses of Visitors and Authorized Users, the time of their visit, and information regarding the browser and operating system of the device used. We also collect certain information about their use of the Website and Services, including actions taken on the Website and Services, pages visited, time spent on the Website and Services, and the like. Section 2(c) below describes how we collect this information.
      • Mobile Device Users. When mobile devices access the Website or Services, in addition to the information described in Section 2(b)(i) above we may also collect the type of device used and other information about it, including geographic location and the manufacturer.
    • How We Collect Information Automatically

      • Cookies. Cookies are short strings of data a website can store on a user’s computer when that user is on a particular website. The information we collect using cookies allows us to monitor how many Visitors or Authorized Users are using our Website or Services and for what purposes. We also use cookies to facilitate the login experience for Authorized Users, as navigation aids, and as session timers. Cookies do not retain personal information about Visitors but do retain certain information about Authorized Users, such as to allow navigation from page to page in a restricted access area of the Website or Services. It is possible to alter the settings of internet browsers to block certain categories of cookies, delete them, or otherwise control their functionality. Please note that blocking or disabling cookies may interfere with certain functions of the Service. Further, while disabling a cookie may prevent the future collection of information by that cookie, it does not affect the use of information collected prior to the time the cookie is disabled. For more general information about cookies, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
      • Embedded Scripts. Embedded scripts are small programs that temporarily reside on a user’s computer and are typically deactivated or deleted when the individual leaves the Website or the Services. We use embedded scripts to collect information about Visitors’ and Authorized Users’ interactions with the Website and Services, such as what links are clicked.
      • Third Party Content and Widgets. Our Website and Services may include third party widgets or other content from third parties. These third parties may use their own cookies or other web technologies to track the actions of visitors online over time or across different websites or platforms to deliver content to individuals, including targeted advertisements. We do not have access to or otherwise control the cookies or other technologies these third parties may use, and we are not responsible for their privacy policies. For more information about how tracking works for advertising purposes on the internet, visit www.aboutads.info/choices. Some third party advertising companies provide mechanisms to opt out of their tracking technologies. For more information about this opt out process, visit the Network Advertising Initiative website at www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
    • HOW WE USE INFORMATION

In addition to some of the specific uses described throughout this Privacy Policy, we may use collected information to (a) facilitate the use of the Website and Services; (b) improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of the Website or Services; (c) develop new features and functionality for the Website and Services; (d) send electronic communications about the Service; (e) maintain records of contact information and correspondence; (f) perform data analysis; (g) conduct audits, fraud monitoring, and security enhancement efforts; (h) optimize our marketing messages (e.g., through compiling statistics regarding use of the Website or Services to identify usage trends and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns); (i) conduct other functions we describe to Visitors or Authorized Users at the time the information is collected; and (j) perform any other function that we believe in good faith is necessary to protect the security or proper functioning of the Website or Services.

    • SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We may share certain information with third parties in the following circumstances.

      • Employees and Other Related Parties, Contractors, Processors, and Service Providers

We will share information with our employees, contractors, affiliates, distributors, dealers, vendors, and suppliers that provide certain services to us or on our behalf, such as operating and supporting the Website or the Services, conducting data analytics, providing customer service, or performing marketing or consulting services. These entities will only have access to the minimum information necessary for them to perform the tasks we have asked them to carry out on our behalf, and will be bound by appropriate nondisclosure provisions in our contracts with them.

      • In Connection With Business Transfers, Bankruptcy, or Other Corporate Events

We may disclose or transfer information to a third party in the case of a sale, merger, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stocks; as part of a corporate restructuring; or as part of bankruptcy proceedings. Such disclosures or transfers may occur as part of the transactions themselves or prior to anticipated transactions as part of due diligence processes and investigations. In such cases, we will enter into nondisclosure agreements with the relevant parties to protect against unauthorized disclosure of information we provide to them.

      • Responding to Legal Process and Preventing Harm

There may be times when we use, share, or disclose information (a) if required to do so by law (e.g., in response to valid search warrants, subpoenas, or other legal process); (b) if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect against suspected illegal or fraudulent activity; (c) to protect the safety, property, and other rights or interests of Remine, our service providers, Visitors, Authorized Users, or the general public; or (d) to enforce our agreements with Visitors and Authorized Users, defend against legal claims, pursue available legal remedies, or limit damages that we may otherwise sustain.

      • Aggregated Information

We may share aggregated information relating to Visitors or Authorized Users with third parties for research or analytic purposes. Such information will not include individually identifiable information, and we will enter into nondisclosure agreements with those third parties to protect against unauthorized disclosure of the aggregated information we provide to them.

    • INFORMATION STORAGE AND RETENTION

We will retain information about Visitors and Authorized Users for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, or as required or permitted under applicable law.

    • INFORMATION SECURITY

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect the information we collect and store against destruction, accidental loss, damage, or unauthorized or unlawful processing. We believe that these measures are reasonably adapted and tailored to the nature of the information in our custody. Because no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely effective and error-proof, we cannot guarantee and do not warrant the security of any information we collect.

    • CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION

      • Accessing, Changing, and Managing Your Information

If you are an Authorized User, you may update or correct the information you have provided by logging into your Service account and making the applicable changes.

      • In Connection With Business Transfers, Bankruptcy, or Other Corporate Events

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the opt out instructions contained in the emails themselves or by contacting us at support@remine.com. We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that Authorized Users cannot opt out from receiving administrative email messages regarding use of the Services.

    • THIRD PARTY LINKS AND THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The Website and Services may contain links to third party websites or services that operate under different terms and privacy policies than those applicable to our Website and Services. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies for each such third party, because they will apply to you when you visit them. We have no control over these third party sites and services and we make no warranties about their content, completeness, accuracy, or quality. We are not responsible, directly or indirectly, for any damage caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content or service available on or through such third party website or service.

    • CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are provided only for users eighteen years of age and older. By accessing the Website or using the Services, you represent that you are at least eighteen years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of eighteen. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information. Parents who have questions about personal information that a child may have submitted should contact us as set forth below in Section 13, “How to Contact Us.”

    • CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS – CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS AND DISCLOSURES

      • Third Party Sharing

We will not share any personal information about you with third parties for their direct marketing purposes, to the extent prohibited by California law, unless you agree otherwise in writing in advance of such sharing.

      • Do Not Track

Internet browsers provide the ability to inform operators of online services that individuals using that browser do not want certain information about their online activities to be collected over time or across different websites or online services. The internet industry, however, has not yet agreed on what ‘do not track’ means in practice, how compliance with ‘do not track’ requests would be measured or evaluated, or a common approach to responding to a ‘do not track’ signal. Consequently, due to this absence of standardization, we have not yet developed features that would recognize or respond to browser-specific ‘do not track’ signals. To find out more about ‘do not track,’ visit www.allaboutdnt.com.

    • NON-UNITED STATES RESIDENTS – CONSENT TO TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

The Website and the Services are directed to Visitors and Authorized Users in the United States. If you reside outside the United States and choose to use the Website or the Service or provide your information to us, please be aware that your information will be processed and maintained on servers or databases in a country other than your country of residence and that these countries may not provide the same level of protection of privacy and personal rights that you may enjoy in your country of residence. By accessing and using the Website and Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy outside your country of residence, including the transfer of your information across international boundaries. If you do not want your information to be transferred, processed, or maintained outside your country of residence, you are not authorized to use the Website or the Services.

    • CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will post notice of the changes and the updated Privacy Policy on this webpage, along with its effective date, and otherwise provide any notices required by law. If you do not agree with the proposed changes, you must discontinue your use of the Website or Services prior to the date on which the revised Privacy Policy takes effect. Your continued use of the Website or Services after the effective date of the changes will indicate that you have reviewed the new Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it.
